To get the results you want, you need to pay attention to this

A happy hello from a breezy snow-melting Spring kind of slow Sunday here in the Appalachian mountains,

I'm writing to you, yes you, because I want running your business (and really your whole damn self) to be filled with SO MUCH more ease, money, and pleasure and SO MUCH less unnecessary rules, anxiety and dread.

But maybe you have wondered why...

it's just so fucking hard to stay consistent in your business.
you feel resentful for STILL not getting the results you want.
you are just totally burnt out.

Well, my love, I got some tips for yooooooou.

But first, you got stop blaming yourself and name the cultural baggage at hand.

Hustle culture teaches and hands us rigid rules that rob us of our authenticity and tells us to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get where we want to go.

Which leaves us...

confining ourselves to a really small scripted box of expression, leaving us bored and uninspired
constantly worrying when we will get another sale or if a client will drop us so we flail and overpromise
spinning our wheels trying every method imaginable, but too damn exhausted to see any of them through

Again, this is normal. I see it happen all of the time.

But it doesn't have to be this way.

What I've found in my 6+ years of full-time running my own business is that the way to getting better results in your business - aka more clients, more sales, more ease, more impact - is to stop only focusing on the results!

Instead, focus on the process.

Yes, be clear on what results you want, but also ask yourself: how do you want your process to feel?

Pleasurable, easy, joyful, fun, authentic, freeing?

Then get geeky about making that happen.

How can you bring more joy and freedom into every step of the process? What steps aren't necessary? Where is the joy being sucked out? Where could more pleasure be added in?

Whenever I shift from worrying about the end result of a client session, teaching, or selling an offer, I remind myself...

"Luna, it gets to be fun and easy! How can you make this more fun and easy right now?!"

For example, as I write this, bringing in more fun means playing ambient Harry Potter classroom music in the background, eating a fat butter chocolate chip cookie, letting my email be as short or long as I'd like, and using as many fucking swear words as I please.

The foundation is similar to how I view flirting. Thanks to the reframe from Mama Gena, instead of trying to get the other person to like you, I see flirting as just enjoying myself in the presence of another.

This is so fucking game changing because you get pleasure, joy, ease, etc now AND it makes your work more sustainable so you WILL get the end results you want.

No burnout necessary!

But the process of making your process pleasurable takes weeding out the sneaky and insidious hustle culture nonsense that we can so easily hide from ourselves.

Hustle culture that left us with unnecessary rules and silly shoulds that are making marketing, selling, and teaching feel dreadful.
